Front side:
Windows and doors appear on the obverse. These symbolise the European spirit of openness and cooperation. The banknote shows the architectural style from the classical period of European history, but does not depict any actual existing monument or bridge.
Rear side:
The bridges behind Europe’s banknotes symbolise communication between the people of Europe and between Europe and the rest of the world. The reverse also includes a map of Europe surrounded by the 12 stars of the European flag.
